Audi RS Q3 Concept
posted by Jamie Vondruska on 19 April 2012 in Automotive News
Audi is introducing the RS Q3 Concept at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing, China. The concept shows the potential in an RS version of the forthcoming Q3 small SUV. Audi dug into their parts bin and pulled out a 360hp version of their turbocharged 2.5 inline-5 mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission. Exterior features include a honeycomb version of Audi’s ubiquitous “single-frame” grill, tinted headlamps and tailamps, carbon fiber fender flairs and brushed aluminum accents. Front and rear bumpers are much more aggressive and made of carbon fiber as well to keep weight down. The rest of the car has been dipped in a matte-blue paint with yellow metallic accents. Inside the black and blue theme continues with deep RS bucket seats, contrasting black Nappa leather and dark blue Alcantara inserts.
Audi vision of a performance SUV certainly looks good. No word though if we’ll ever see it in production. Photos follow below…
