Recently we took a look at BMW's GS line of adventure bikes and its 30-year history of production. We think the GS is a special bike, creating a class of its own, and topping that class 30 years after its creation.

BMW thinks that the GS is pretty special, too, and these special edition models prove it. Available in the R 1200, F800, and F650 varieties, there are a couple subtle touches to differentiate the Anniversary models from their non-celebratory brethren. The most apparent of these touches is the bright red saddle, and all-white body panels. Get in a little closer, though, and you'll notice a raised "GS" logo on the seat, and a "30 Years GS" decal on the tank. We like the look, not blaring in your face, but not too subtle to miss that it's something unique.



If you want to get your hands on one of these, not much information is available yet, except that there will be a very limited number coming to the US.
