Triumph Announces Thruxton Special Edition for 2010

For 2010, Triumph has announced a special edition version of their cafe racer-styled Thruxton model. The Thruxton SE includes a special red powder coated frame, "Crystal White" metallic body work, a color-matched fly screen all tied together with a red stripe running the length of the body work. Triumph even blacked out the engine cases to draw more attention to the stunning body work. thrux2.jpg

The Thruxton model is powered by an 865cc parallel twin delivering 68hp and 51 lb.-ft. of torque at 5,800 rpm. The cafe racer look is tied together with traditional megaphone style pipes, low-rise bars and 18" wire spoke wheels.

Pricing hasn't been announced yet, but expect it to be slightly higher than the regular $8,799 MSRP. Look for the special edition model to be available this spring at your local Triumph dealer.
