Triumph calls the Tiger "one of the most resourceful bikes on the market." To improve its, um, resourcefulness, the company has added locking hard cases to the standard equipment list for 2010.

Triumph Motorcycles will expand its current model lineup from 16 to 23 models by 2012. For 2010, expansion will include several new special editions, including a couple of Bonnevilles, a Speed Triple, a Daytona and two Thunderbirds.

Triumphs under-appreciated cafe racer -styled Thruxton model is getting a special edition model this year. Red frame, white paint and red stripes make this one unique British offering.

BMW Motorrad USA has signed a deal with Keith Code's California Superbike School for a 48-session rider training program. The school will use the new BMW S 1000 RR superbiike as its learning tool.

Ducati has finally unveiled its Multistrada replacement, the 2010 Multistrada 1200, firmly placing its collective foot (or tire) in the path of BMW's iconic R1200GS. The new bike sets out to be a more viable replacement for the ugly step-child of the family, as the old Multistrada has often been.

In addition to the new Hypermotard 796 model unveiled last month, Ducati has just announced an updated version of the standard Hypermotard, now called the Hypermotard 1100 EVO, at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan.
