Dress Your iPhone to Match Your Interior

The Dutch company Miniot produces a beautiful product for iPhone users. Named simply "iWood," the protective cover is precision machined from a single block of wood. Selections include sustainable species like maple, oak, padouk, cherry, mahogany, and walnut. The iWood is shipped untreated, but owners can finish them with stains, varnishes or oils of their choosing upon delivery. The cherry trim of a Range Rover or the walnut of a Jaguar, for instance, could be easily matched by a craftsman.

A racier alternative is the iWood cobra, which merges two different woods to create a racing stripe effect. Either wenge or padouk is used as as the dark wood, with light maple offering the contrasting stripe.

The iWood is available for all versions of the iPhone and all functions of the iPhone remain intact, as the case includes openings for all cords and accessories. The company also produces cases for the iPod Classic (80gb and 120gb) and the iPod touch. A touch of additional personalization can be added with a monogram or custom logo.

Prices start at €80 for the iWood and €120 for the iWood cobra, and Miniot accpets credit cards for purchases. Each iWood is made to order and takes about two weeks to ship from the time the order is received. All orders ship from Holland via FedEx.
