Saab, after one year of independence from GM, is making plans to get closer to its supporters that were there for the company through thick and thin. In these modern times, the easiest way to do so is through the internet, so what better way to do that than hire the creator of one of the largest Saab enthusiast networks on the web?

Saab has done just that, announcing that it has hired Steven Wade, creator and six-year-curator of SaabsUnited.com. Wade will be a part of Saab' social media team, managing the company's Facebook and Twitter accounts, and allowing its followers better access to the Spyker-owned company. He will still be based out of Australia, so no cross-continental move is required, which we're sure Wade's family is happy about. Thank you, wonders of the internet.
