Special Edition Maserati Quattroporte Inspired by Awards Collection
The Maserati Quattroporte has earned praise and admiration in its six years in the marketplace, racking up a total of fifty-six awards from various publications. That's apparently reason enough for Maserati to christen its special edition Quattroporte Sport GT S the "Awards Edition." Strange name, nice car.
Like most special edition cars, it features a unique paint finish - in this case Quarzo fuso, a pearlescent grey with a touch of gold - and special interior trimmings. Twenty-inch wheels in dark grey finish complement the special paint, but it's the polished Brembo calipers behind the wheel that will likely get the most attention. A special manufacturing process ensures the brake calipers maintain their mirror-like finish on what promises to be a popular aftermarket modification for the tuner car scene.
The interior is treated to special leather and perforated Alcantara seating, featuring a unique wave pattern. Brushed aluminum door sills and piano black wood trim accent the cabin, which also receives a swath of black Alcantara on the headliner.
The Quattroporte Sport GT S will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show next week, and will arrive later in the year as a 2011 model.
