Spy Shots: Mercedes-Benz Testing Smaller AMG Model

"AMG" are three letters we here at km have grown to know and love well. Whenever that combination of letters shows up on our press car planning calendar, we know a brute of a sedan or coupe is going to show up in our parking lot. But that soon will change. Well, only if we move outr offices to Europe...

Where the silver arrow used to limit its exclusive tuning arm to the bigger models in the range, it looks like AMG has been set loose on the smaller cars now, too. This B25 AMG will have a two-liter turbocharged engine banging out an impressive horsepower figure between 320 and 350. All that power will be contained via an all-wheel-drive setup using a dual-clutch transmission. Visually, there's not much going on, but the camouflage suggests a new front bumper, and who can miss the signature AMG wheels?

The car will be released in late 2012. As we get more details, we will pass them on to you.
