If you own a 2011 model year BMW and an iPhone, chances are your life is already probably pretty good. But today it got better, because you can now control Pandora right through your car's iDrive. Thanks to BMW Apps, a $250 option on any 2011 or newer BMW, the popular internet radio service can now be integrated right through the car. This allows the driver to access all of Pandora's features, including selecting or creating stations, liking or not liking songs, and bookmarking, without ever pulling the iPhone out of its dock in the center console or glove box.
“The seamless integration of a highly desired service like Pandora demonstrates the enormous potential of the new BMW Apps,” said Stephan Durach, Director of the BMW Group Technology Office. “We are pleased that we are able to partner with Pandora in order to now offer this function across the BMW product range in a way that is simple to access and safer to operate.”
For owners who already have the BMW Apps program installed, both a BMW Connected App and the Pandora app are available for free in the iTunes App Store.
