Volvo Cars Germany Announces Special Edition S60 T6 Design by Heico Sportiv
Usually when a certain country's arm of the Volvo Car Corporation teams up with Heico Sportiv on a special edition vehicle, it's a car that's been on the market for a while and could use a sales boost. Such is not the case with Volvo of Germany's latest endeavor, a 100-unit run of Heico Sportiv S60s. This thing is brand spankin' new.
Other than a special plaque denoting each car as part of this S60 T6 Design by Heico Sportiv edition, the upgrades are essentially the same as those outlined when Heico announced its own list of aftermarket components last month. However, all 100 of these sedans will be painted sapphire black metallic, while ordering the parts individually from Heico allows an owner to select any offered paint color (but likely would cost more in the end.)
Every car will be the top-of-the line T6 model, using Heico's e.motion tuning program to produce an extra 30 hp over stock, or 330 horses. That translates to a 0-62 mph time of 5.8 seconds, while top speed remains limited to 155 mph. All T6 models use a six-speed automatic transmission.
The limited edition cars will also all use the wheel design seen here, finished matte black and measuring 19 inches in diameter. Pirelli summer tires come standard but four winter tires, this being Germany, are sold with the car as well. Heico Sportiv quad exhaust outlets fill out the company's own rear diffuser, while the front bodywork is enhanced by a two-part spoiler connected to the stock front fascia. Inside, Heico adds pedals, a shift knob, and a limited edition plate, all cut from aluminum. As far as Volvo's contribution to upgrades, the cars come basically fully loaded and bost 63,968 Euros, including VAT.
