ArmorTech Makes the BMW X6 Even More Sporty by Removing Two Doors
ArmorTech, a Russian customizing company that generally specializes in stretching cars to make limousines or adding armor plating for, um, popular passengers, has ventured out into wilder territory. Seeing a market for a BMW X6 that stretches even further off to the "sport" side of the SUV spectrum, the company decided to make a more personal version of the vehicle that ditches the two rear doors. The result is actually pretty cool, even if it is surely terribly expensive and not too sensible for most folks.
There's some visual trickery going on here because although the photos might make it seem like the two-door X6 has been chopped short, the company's own drawings indicate that the production footprint hasn't been changed at all. Interior space remains the same, but doors that are nine inches longer stretch further down the flanks with the front and rear window glass being replaced as well. To allow access to the rear seats, new front seats are added with a tilt function. The conversion of course includes a mild aero kit along the sides, and ArmorTech will happily add larger brakes, louder exhaust, or any other customizations potential customers might want. And they'll take orders from anywhere in the world.
